New York: Live Jazz and Drinks Without the Queue 🎶

You don't have to go to Tomi Jazz to enjoy live jazz in New York! 🎵 After putting my name on the waiting list at Martinis next door, I headed to Midnight Blue to grab a drink while I waited. 🍸This is my second time here, and just like the first, I was waiting for a table at Martinis. The overall vibe here is really nice. Since the jazz live isn't too loud, the place has a classic speakeasy feel. If you love jazz but don't want to wait in line at Tomi Jazz, you're in luck! They even have a jam session on Sundays, where different people come up to perform. 🎶 The bar has a Japanese-style aesthetic, with a solid wood counter that can seat over 20 people. Their drinks tend to be on the stronger side, so if you can't hold your drink, I'd recommend something easy to sip. 🍸 As a big fan of daiquiris and whiskey, I stuck with highballs this time. 😂 (After a long day at work on Sunday, there's nothing like sipping a Laphroaig 10 highball. Happy girl right here! ❤️) Laphroaig 10 Highball Salted Plum Sour (also a highball) (Their bartender isn't classically trained; last time I wanted a White Lady, and the guy pulled out his phone to look up the recipe. So, I'd suggest sticking to what's on the menu.) 🍸Since I was in a rush, I only had two drinks. But mostly, I was here for the jazz. Bar Name: Midnight Blue 106 E 19th St New York, NY 10003 United States #NewYorkBars 🍸 #DrinkingInNewYork 🥂
