New York’s Morning Tea White Moonlight! 🌕
As someone with a Cantonese palate, I’ve tried quite a few dim sum places in New York. 🥣 This classic tea house, which has been around for many years, is located in Flushing. Once I tasted their dishes, I was hooked! The dim sum here is incredibly authentic, and the portions are huge—about 1.5 to 2 times larger than other places. It’s truly a feast! For just over $20 per person, you get a full table of deliciousness. It’s hard to believe this is in New York! 🌃 Special shoutout to the phoenix claws! Soft, tender, and falling off the bone, they’re warm and full of flavor. You can order these with your eyes closed—they’re that good! 🍜 🥣 For dessert lovers like me, the lava custard buns, char siu pastry, and durian pastry are must-haves. They’re all so yummy! 🍰 And for the quintessential Cantonese experience, I always order the teochew porridge. When it’s served, it’s steaming hot and so comforting to the stomach. 🥣 🍤 The shrimp dumplings, shrimp siu mai, and shrimp cheong fun are protein-packed and amazing. But the star of the show is the walnut prawns! The prawns are huge, super crispy, and sweet, with delicious walnut pieces. 🍤 🥣 The place is always bustling! When I arrived at 12 PM, both floors were already packed. The aunties push carts filled with dim sum, bringing back memories of having morning tea in Guangdong and Hong Kong. 🫖 📍 Congee Village Flushing #NYCDining #NYCWeekend 🌟
