New York’s New Omakase | Mekumi is truly amazing! 🌟
This time, I didn’t book the old favorite Yoshino. Instead, I decided to try something new. I heard that this new place, Mekumi, had just opened in New York these past couple of months, and everyone was raving about it. So, I thought, why not give it a try? 🌸 🌟 And let me tell you, it was a delightful surprise! From the moment I walked in, I could feel the authentic Japanese ambiance. The decor was sleek and modern, with just the right amount of traditional charm. The chefs were working their magic right in front of us, and you could see the passion in every move they made. 🍣 Every single piece of sushi was a masterpiece. The flavors were all very subtle and delicate, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. 🦀 🌟 Their signature dish seemed to be the crab, which was simply divine! The crab meat was so tender and sweet, perfectly balanced with just a hint of soy sauce and wasabi. It was like a little explosion of flavor in my mouth. The only downside was that some of my favorite items, like the monkfish liver and a few other sake accompaniments, were not on the regular menu. So I had to add them on. But even those extra dishes were worth every penny. The monkfish liver was incredibly rich and creamy, and the sake accompaniments were the perfect pairing to enhance the flavors of the sushi. 🍻 🌊 But honestly, in my unofficial personal opinion: it’s in New York’s top 3 omakase places! 🌆 The attention to detail, the quality of the ingredients, and the overall experience were just outstanding. If you’re a sushi lover and haven’t tried Mekumi yet, you’re missing out. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. 🌟 #NYCEats#Omakase 🌊🌟
