New York’s New Tempting Peking Duck (1)🍗
Check out the newly opened Octo restaurant! 🌟 It’s located in K-town, super easy to find. I saw their dishes on Instagram and couldn’t wait to try them out. 📸 They specialize in Korean-Chinese fusion cuisine. We were drawn in by the Peking duck! 😋 1⃣️ Half a Peking Duck for $60 💰. It’s a bit pricey compared to Golden Wuish’s half duck at $44. The portion is decent, with well-marbled duck meat (the thick duck skin is better than Golden Wuish’s). If the skin could be a bit crispier, it would be perfect. It seemed to lack a bit of heat. They also gave us a side of stir-fried duck meat with lettuce 🥬 to enjoy. 2⃣️ Truffle Shrimp Dumplings 🤔. This one is a bit tricky to describe. Overall, there’s a nice truffle aroma, combined with runny egg and shrimp. It’s a bit odd 😂 and not as tasty as traditional salted egg yolk dumplings. 3⃣️ Shrimp Sandwich 🍔. As an appetizer, it’s okay, but nothing special. #NewYork 🌆
