New York’s The Modern Left Me Adding Three More Plates of Oysters! 🍋

The Bar Room at The Modern is a fantastic spot to hit after visiting MoMA, and this year’s menu is so good, I just couldn’t stop eating ✨ 🍹 I started with a Kopilot cocktail (any Python fans feeling that DNA twinge?) The yuzu maple combo, with a touch of sea salt, is refreshing to the max. One sip and I was in love with this sweet little drink～ The bread here is soft inside with a nutty, crispy exterior, and the butter is homemade. We couldn’t help but order four extra servings… 🍞【Appetizer】 1️⃣ Steak Tartare with Crispy Potatoes The seasoning is spot on, and the crispy potatoes add a lovely texture. Yum! 2️⃣ Pel Oysters with Fermented Kumquat Mignonette These oysters 🦪 are a must-order!!! I ended up getting three more plates! So fresh, paired with the fermented kumquat sauce, it’s a zesty, scream-inducing delight. 3️⃣ Chicory Salad with Roasted Delicata Squash and Orange The slight bitterness of chicory, the sweetness of roasted squash, and the freshness of orange. Not bad! 4️⃣ Chilled Tuna, Smoked Eggplant and Grapefruit The chili oil tuna + grapefruit is a unique combo, quite the adventurous flavor. 【Main】 1️⃣ Lobster Mafaldine with Meyer Lemon and Brussels Sprouts🦞🍝 The lobster pasta has a subtle lemon fragrance in the cream, and the Brussels Sprouts add a nice crunch.
