New York's Bemelmans Bar(1)
I’ve had Bemelmans Bar saved in my bookmarks for ages, mainly for its famous murals, but it was the drinks that truly won me over. Located on the first floor of the Carlyle Hotel, it has a very low-key entrance. Let’s dive into the drinks I tried: 1️⃣ Vodka Martini: The base vodka was infused with olives, giving it a distinct savory flavor. The herbal notes balanced it out nicely, and the drink was quite strong. Perfect for those who love classic cocktails. 🥃 2️⃣ Old Fashioned: Made with bourbon, this drink had a rich aroma of orange peel. The ice melted slowly, so the drink didn’t get watery even halfway through. Highly recommended! 🥃 3️⃣ Passion Royale: This vodka-based cocktail was mixed with passion fruit and champagne. It offered a perfect blend of fresh fruitiness and effervescence. Light, sweet, and tangy, it’s ideal for ladies. 🥂 4️⃣ Pisco Sour: A classic combination of Peruvian pisco, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg whites. The drink had a smooth texture and rich layers of flavor. It was delicious, not too sour or sweet. 🥃 #NewYork 🌃🌟
