New York's Cozy Wine Bars with a Twist 🥂🍷
Penny’s A seafood-focused wine bar that’s quickly become one of my favorites. Located upstairs from Claud, it features all bar seating. 🍃🌸 The seafood box is incredibly fresh, and the lobster dip paired with clams and bread is simply divine. 🦞 Sailor A super-hard-to-book wine bar in Brooklyn with a cozy, nautical vibe. The roasted chicken and sweetbreads are must-tries. The sweetbreads are perfectly breaded and fried to a crisp. They also offer brunch, so if you can’t get a dinner reservation, this is a great alternative. 🐔 🍃🌸 Smithereen’s Tucked away in a semi-basement in the East Village. Their buckwheat pancake is a standout—thin and crispy, with a layer of fish paste underneath. The fried fish cheeks are delicious, though the lobster roll is just average. For dessert, try the candied seaweed, which is like a Napoleon but with nori instead of puff pastry. It’s an interesting twist! 🥞 🍃🌸 #NewYork 🌇🌟
