New York's East Village: A Refined Korean Dining Experience 🌟
🍴 ODRE 📍 199 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003 TLDR: The dishes are beautifully plated, the flavors are average, the prices are reasonable, and the ambiance is great—perfect for a date! 🌺 I stumbled upon this new restaurant on the HAND Hospitality website. ODRE offers a $42 prix fixe menu with four courses. The first three courses each have three options to choose from, while the last course includes a small dish with rice and soup. 📋 🌟 The pre-meal snacks were pretty good—thin, crispy potato chips that were quite tasty. 🍟 🌟 Hwe Platter and Sesame Chicken The sweet and sour raw fish was decent, but the sesame chicken had a strong mustard flavor. The sauce was black, but the black sesame taste wasn't very noticeable. 🍣 🌟 Mung Bean Fritter and Snow Crab Mando The fried mung bean cake was quite tasty, but the snow crab roll was a bit fishy and didn't seem very fresh. The light flavor couldn't mask the off-taste. 🦀 🌟 Steamed Monkfish and Beef Shank The beef was pretty good, paired with oyster mushrooms that had a nice, smoky, crispy texture. The monkfish, however, was quite bland and didn't seem well-seasoned. 🍖 👌🏻 You can make reservations on Resy. The restaurant's location and ambiance are both great. The dishes look refined and are perfect for a date or a chat with friends. 🌆 #AmbianceVibes #NYCExplore #NYCLife 🌟
