New York's East Village Sukiyaki Experience at Shabu Tatsu(1) π²
Today was just way too hot, so we decided to make a reservation. π‘οΈ πΈπ We called early and were told that no reservation was needed, but when we arrived, we were informed that we'd have to wait for an hour. There was no indoor seating available. Fortunately, due to the intense heat, some people canceled their reservations, so we were able to get a spot. But let me tell you, the outdoor seating was scorching! We went around 7 p.m., and it was still blazing hot! π πΈπ Alright, let's dive into the food! To be honest, we were a group of sevenβfour guys and three girlsβand we spent an average of $60 per person, including drinks. I personally had two drinks, hehe. I went for the peach and lychee-flavored beverages mixed with soju. I'm not sure if the first one was served in a smaller glass, but it had a stronger alcohol taste and lacked the sweetness of the lychee. The lychee one was truly fragrant and delicious! π For our first round, we all ordered the smaller glasses, but for the second round, we got the larger ones. I'm not sure why there was a difference. πΈπ By the way, adding soju costs an extra $5, but if you love that slightly tipsy feeling and enjoy sweet drinks, I highly recommend it. πΈ Lychee and Peach Sparkling Mocktails: $6 + $5 for soju Roast Duck: $11 Teriyaki Tofu: $9 πΈπ #NewYork #EastVillage #Sukiyaki ππ
