New York's Fifth Avenue š½ | Hidden Gem: Ilili Lebanese Cuisine (2)š
š¢Brussels Sprouts š„¬ This was the highlight of my night! The waiterās recommendation was spot-on. Itās like a warm salad with bite-sized, crispy Brussels sprouts, sweet grapes, fresh walnuts, and raisins, all topped with a dollop of yogurt sauce. š The sprouts are not bitter at all and are perfectly seasoned. Combined with the nuts and grapes, this salad is seriously addictive! Even my meat-loving partner couldnāt stop raving about it! Mixed Grill š š The main event of the nightāa mixed grill platter for two! It includes lamb chops, lamb skewers, beef, chicken, fish, and some grilled vegetables. There are also three different dips, each with its own unique flavor. šļøThe green one is my favorite, with a fresh basil aroma. The pink one has a fruity and nutty taste, probably from berries and nuts, while the orange one has a roasted pepper flavor. These dips add so much variety to the otherwise simple grilled meats. Notably, the lamb was incredibly well-seasoned and didnāt have that gamey flavor I usually canāt stand. The beef, cooked medium, was perfectly juicy, while the chicken was a bit dry and unremarkable. I also enjoyed all the grilled vegetables on the side. Overall, Ilili is a delightful choice for trying Lebanese cuisine. We were careful with our orders and didnāt have any misses. šø The only minor issue was that some dishes felt a bit dry, and there were fewer vegetables and seafood options. But thatās probably due to Lebanonās geography, and it didnāt affect the overall deliciousness! The restaurant is located at: š 236 5th Ave, New York, NY #Foodie #NYC Food Guide š
