New York's Most Coveted Restaurant: Carbone π
As the saying goes, "What you can't have is always in motion." Ever since I learned how hard it is to get a reservation at Carbone, I, who don't particularly love Italian food, found myself constantly checking Resy for an available slot. π And lo and behold, my persistence paid off one idle late night when I scored a reservation for the next day's lunch. Without hesitation, I dragged my carb-loving boyfriend along. π Every single dish was heavenly. Even the seemingly simple melon and prosciutto appetizer had a lot going on (we were told that the π were imported). The star dish, Spicy Vodka Rigatoni, needs no further introduction; the combination of the sauce and pasta is simply irresistible. πThe only dish I wouldn't highly recommend is the Tortellini al Ragu. The ravioli is entirely filled with cheese, with just a thin layer of ragu sauce at the bottom, making it a bit overwhelming to eat. But overall, the restaurant exudes old money vibes, and the service is impeccable. π If I had to point out a downside, it's just how difficult it is to get a reservation! #NewYorkCarbone #Carbone #NewYorkFood ππ
