New York's omakase🍣 special for survival fried to tears of happines

🍣 Tuna, salmon toro, yellowtail, uni, grilled eel, wagyu with foie gras and truffle—every time I come, I eat like I’m making up for lost time, and it’s so satisfying. Maybe it’s “disrespectful” omakase in some people’s eyes, but when I’m hungry, this hits differently. The moment the fat melts in my mouth and happiness shoots to the top of my head, it’s like I forget everything that happened during the day. Suddenly, I’m ready to take on the world again 😂 Another reason I keep coming back? It’s one of the rare omakase spots where both Lao Wang and I leave happy. Whether you’re a fish lover or a meat fan, there’s something here for you—we each get our own little food paradise. They’ve got a few menu options. When we’re not starving, we go for the 14-course ($88) or 15-course ($100). But most days, we pick the 19-course for $150—it comes with extra appetizers and a three-piece A5 wagyu tasting, which is totally worth it. A few of my personal faves: The scallops are plump and juicy, and the squid is sliced with impeccable knife skills đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ» The Hokkaido uni hand roll is chef’s kiss! They pile on so much uni—cool, creamy uni on warm rice with crispy nori? Pure comfort in a bite. 🐟 The baby yellowtail and salmon toro with foie gras dishes? That’s when the “fatty happiness” really kicks off. How can fish taste this good?! đŸ”„ The chutoro and otoro are almost too pretty to eat—lightly seared, fragrant, and not a hint of greasiness. And yes, the “disrespectful” eel and foie gras hand roll? It’s sizzling and oozing oil (and a little hot, so be careful!), but so worth the burn. đŸ” They switched up the dessert this time—matcha tiramisu! I told myself I’d only have one bite
but I couldn’t stop. Rich matcha mascarpone that’s icy cold, topped with a thick dusting of matcha powder. Way better than regular tiramisu, and yep—I definitely overate. No regrets, though lol The chef who made our meal this time is Ryan—super cute and chatty, total extrovert energy. He switches between Chinese and English seamlessly, chatting with us and the foreigners next to us like we’re old friends. When he heard I like posting food reviews, he asked if I could help spread the word—of course! Hope this place stays around forever đŸ‘đŸ» My forever late-night comfort spot. Okay, that’s today’s share—if I made you hungry, mission accomplished!
