New York's Perfect Bowl of Ramen 🍜 No MSG in the Broth

Back in the days of Pete Wells from The New York Times, I discovered that right in my Kips Bay neighborhood—known as a Chinese food desert—there was a listed ramen spot. 🌟 Passing by one day, I was drawn in by the intriguing setup outside the shop and finally decided to give it a try. I was so glad I did! 🌟 📍 Beef Up Noodle, Lao Hui Hui, at 352 3rd Ave Before you enter, take a moment to check out the entrance—it’s worth a look! Don’t miss out. 🎯 🌟The interior is spacious and clean, with high-quality tablecloths that give off a cozy vibe reminiscent of small eateries in Northwest China. The photos on the walls suggest that this place also hosts lectures and live performances 🎶, which is a rare cultural salon-like atmosphere for a noodle shop. 💰 The average cost per person is $20-$30, and you can choose how much you want to spend. 🍜 Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodles The broth is light, refreshing, and incredibly delicious, with no MSG added! Typically, after eating ramen, people from the south would drink a lot of water, but here, there’s no need. 🌟The flavor is rich, layered, and completely natural. The noodles are the result of the shop’s countless experiments with flour ratios, and they’re handmade by the chef on-site. They’re firm and chewy when first served, but if you prefer softer noodles, you can let them soak for a bit. The beef is thinly sliced and soaks up the broth perfectly. #NewYork 🌇
