New York's Time-Honored French Cuisine | Jean Georges ๐
Recently, I was looking for a Michelin-starred restaurant to celebrate the New Year. I had previously dined at Jean Georges and was quite impressed, so I decided to book there again (mainly because other places were fully booked. In hindsight, the ease of booking might have been a hint). ๐ After the meal, I felt a bit disappointed; it felt rather ordinary. The food was decent but lacked the wow factor, and the flavors were just average for a two-Michelin-starred restaurant. ๐ However, the service was noticeably improved: the waitstaff proactively took photos for us, and we even received a signed menu and an almond cake to take home for the next dayโtouches that weren't there before. But I still miss the more memorable and delicious dishes from my previous visits. ๐ฝ๏ธ ๐ข If youโre in New York and looking for a dining experience, Jean Georges is a well-known option. ๐ธ While the service has improved, the food might not live up to the high expectations set by its Michelin stars. ๐ ๐๏ธ #NewYork ๐
