New York | 37 Xiang Seafood Hot Pot Restaurant

๐Ÿ˜On a Saturday visit to Flushing, I stumbled upon this new seafood hot pot spot that has been getting quite a bit of attention. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the sashimi, oysters, and swimming shrimp! The generous sashimi platter almost had me full before I could blink, and it was well worth it.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜We arrived right when they opened for lunch, and the swimming shrimp seemed so fresh that they could have been alive. It was a bit startling, but it really was incredibly fresh! The taste of the freshly cooked shrimp definitely outshines frozen shrimp, and it was the only dish we ordered twice.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜The sashimi and oysters were served in large portions, and the quality of the fish was quite good on the day we visited, comparable to that of other regular Japanese restaurants. It's said that some of the fish is even flown in directly from Japan.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜Other standard hot pot ingredients like snowflake beef, beef tongue, tripe, and shrimp were all up to par, nothing to complain about. #NewYorkLife #NewYorkFood #NewYorkFoodGuide #NewYork #MyFoodDiary #NewYorkFunAndFood #NewYorkExploration #NewYorkFoodDiscovery #ManhattanFoodie
