New York | A Must-Visit East Village Italian Bakery (2)🍪
🌟 Strawberry Shortcake I always thought I didn’t like whipped cream, but it turns out I just didn’t like bad whipped cream. This one is much fresher than chocolate, with a hint of sourness that makes it less greasy. 🍓 🌟 New York Cheesecake / Italian Ricotta Cheesecake I was torn between New York cheesecake and Italian cheesecake (not in the display window, but on the counter) for a long time. The indifferent clerk said, “New York cheese is what we are known for,” so……I ended up buying both, lol. 🥧 After comparing them, I can see that each has its own unique characteristics and is definitely worth trying. 🎢🍃The New York cheesecake is relatively richer, with a stronger dairy flavor and a more intense impact. It doesn’t have a crust, which I think makes it a bit challenging to eat in one go. The Italian cheesecake comes in three varieties and is sold by weight. When I was in the store, a few elegantly dressed white-haired grandmothers rushed in and went straight for this option, which piqued my curiosity. I tried the basic Ricotta cheese version, which is much smoother, with a cream cheese texture. The crust has a slight hint of lemon, which is also very tasty. The Sicily version contains alcohol, so I didn’t try it. 🌟 Various Small Pastries I personally love coconut, so the coconut macaroon really hit the spot for me. The mini cakes are generally all winners. The Regulah seems more like a Jewish specialty, a bit sweet but small enough to be enjoyable! 🥧 Disclaimer: I have a high tolerance for sweetness, so my evaluations of how sweet something is might be a bit biased. 🍴 Veniero's Pasticceria & Caffe 📍342 E 11th St, New York, NY 10003 💰 $10-20 #ItalianFood #NewYorkFood 🍽️🌟
