New York | Abalone rice is a never-ending food!!
This Korean omakase spot has a new menu and a new chef—it’s now called Gori! 🎉 The presentation is so much more creative than before—think uni towers on crab shells 🦀, pancakes under glass cloches, sashimi with dry ice effects… So fun! And the food? Even better than before! Here are the dishes that stuck with me: 🌟 Uni Rice Huge chunks of uni mixed into the rice—so briny and fresh! The rice turns super creamy, almost like risotto. This was hands down my favorite dish of the night! 🌟 Uni & Crab Tart The crust is like a crispy cracker, packed with crab meat, uni, and salmon roe—and get this: it’s served on a crab shell 🦀! How cute is that?! 🌟 10-Day Aged Roast Duck Their signature roast duck is so good. The meat is tender, and the 10-day aging gives it this amazing depth of flavor. The uncle next to us kept praising the chef—he even made the chef blush! 😆 🌟 Wagyu The marbling is perfectly even—their wagyu never disappoints! I especially love the sauce: a slightly spicy wasabi flavor that cuts through the richness. So refreshing! 🌟 Abalone Noodle Soup They used to serve cold noodles, but this hot soup version is so warming! The chicken bits at the bottom are insanely tender—I thought they were fish at first! 🌟 Grilled Eel Chewy, bouncy grilled eel—so tasty! It’s served with mushrooms and a grain-like rice underneath. 🌟 Chestnut & Persimmon Tart The dessert is so Asian-palette friendly—not too sweet at all! The ice cream on top is chestnut-flavored 🌰—delicious! ⛳️ Gori 243 E 58th St, New York, NY 10022 (On the second floor of Anto) #NewYork #NYC #NewYorkFoodGuide #NYCLife #NYCFood #NewYorkFoodReview #NewYorkFoodRecommendations #Anto #NYCKoreanFood #KoreanOmakase #FineDiningNYC
