New York | Caramel Banana and Purple Sweet Potato Ice Cream 🍨!
Wayan is an Indonesian restaurant opened by Cédric, the son of chef Jean-Georges, located in Manhattan's Nolita. The restaurant combines French-style elements with its Indonesian cuisine 🌴. 🍢Satays: The satays are a perfect blend of salty and sweet Southeast Asian flavors, with just the right amount of grill. They are tender yet chewy. Each platter allows you to choose three types of meat, with three skewers of each. 🐙Crispy Baby Squid: The grilled baby squid had a normal flavor, but unfortunately, the tips were burnt, reducing the edible portion by a quarter 😔. 🌽Corn Fritters: These are not appetizers or main courses but are listed as sides. The fried corn is quite a novelty! After the fresh corn aroma, the greasiness of the frying comes through. 🍜Lobster Noodles: The black pepper lobster noodles were covered with lots of cilantro. There wasn't much shrimp, and the strong black pepper flavor overshadowed any seafood taste. It felt like greasy instant noodles. Just imagine the taste of Indonesian Indomie instant noodles 🍜, and you can easily replicate it at home! #NewYork 🌃🌟
