New York | Chito Gvrito
This afternoon, I visited a Georgian restaurant near Union Square. π πΏπ Ordered the cheese boat, which comes with cheese, an egg, and a piece of butter inside. The waiter mixes them all together for you. The bread is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, making it feel like a cheese pizza with a very strong cheese flavor. It's really satisfying! ππ§ The Georgian salad is quite similar to an Italian salad, with tomatoes, cucumbers, and cheese, mixed with a basil and olive oil dressing. It's very refreshing. π₯ πΏπ The lamb soup dumplings have a strong anise flavor in the meat filling. The bottom skin is thin, similar to Shanghai soup dumplings, which are also made with dead yeast dough. π However, the top of the dumpling is super thick, like a piece of dough. There is plenty of soup, but it lacks the freshness of Shanghai soup dumplings. π₯ The tomato-braised spring chicken also comes with onions and other side dishes. The chicken includes a large drumstick and a piece of breast, both with skin, and they are not dry at all. The tomato flavor is very strong. I ordered the chicken today because they didn't have lamb stew. ππ π For drinks, I had Georgian soda, a pear-flavored soda. It's very fragrant and slightly sweet, definitely worth a try. πΌ Address: 173 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10003 #Georgian Cuisine #New York Delights ππ½οΈ
