New York | Ci Siamo 🌟
I ended up here on a walk-in because Casa Dani was closed that day. The place was bustling with activity, and the lively atmosphere made it perfect for a casual gathering with friends. 🍷 🌿For starters, we ordered the caramelized onion torta. The pastry was exceptional—crispy, flaky, and with layers that melted in your mouth. The buttery aroma was rich and inviting. The caramelized onions were soft, sweet, and perfectly paired with the pecorino toscano cheese, creating a deeply aromatic experience. The balsamic vinegar was the finishing touch, balancing out the richness of the cheese, onions, and pastry. 🧀 🌿 The pesce fritti was a refreshing and palate-cleansing appetizer, featuring oysters, scallops, and cod. It was light and perfect for enjoying with a drink. 🍔 When it came to the pasta, it felt a bit more middle-of-the-road compared to the starters. The crab cavatelli had a nice wheaty aroma and chewy texture. The combination of crab, tomato, and chili sauce was solid and reliable. 🍝 🌿 However, the rabbit pasta was a bit of a letdown. It arrived slightly clumped together, and the flavors of parmesan and rabbit just didn’t mesh well. Overall, it was underwhelming in both texture and taste. 🥪 #RestaurantReview #NewYork #ItalianRestaurant #Pasta 🌇
