New York | Crown Shy's Desserts ๐ฎ Are Worth a Special Visit
I visited Crown Shy, the new one-star Michelin restaurant in the same building as Over Story and SAGA, at the beginning of the year. I couldn't stop thinking about their desserts! ๐คค This time, during Restaurant Week, I wanted to go again. The menu had only changed by a dish or two, and every dish is a classic! Beef Carpaccio ๐ฅฉ The large crispy bread breaks into crumbs when you bite into it. The beef tartare has beautiful marbling, fresh and tender. The sauce is smooth and perfectly paired with the beef. Razor Clams ๐ฆช The razor clams are super bouncy! The sauce is fresh and light, but the oil adds richness to the texture, perfectly complementing the naturally mild flavor of the seafood. (This year, they switched to scallops, which also look amazing!) Branzino ๐ The skin is super crispy, and the fish meat is tender yet firm. The sauce is really good! Grilled Citrus-Marinated Chicken ๐ Usually, ordering chicken at a restaurant is like opening a blind boxโit can be as ordinary as supermarket chicken. But the citrus sauce really saves the day! Sticky Toffee Pudding for Two ๐ This dessert has haunted my dreams for half a year! It has a contrasting hot and cold texture. The swirl-shaped pudding looks like a mini volcano, and the small pot is served warm. ๐ #NewYork ๐
