New York | First Time Trying Mint Beef Soup, and It’s Amazing! 🥹

After a few warm days, New York has officially entered winter. 🥶 As soon as it gets cold, I crave mung bean noodles! It’s something I always want to eat when the temperature drops. I revisited this place after a long time, and all my favorite dishes were still on the menu! So touching! 🔸 Beef Pho with Mint This beef has a creamy taste! It’s really tender, and the soup is very fresh with a distinct mint flavor. A bowl in winter makes you feel warm all over, and you just can’t stop eating! 🥹 🔸 Eel Noodles The noodles are smooth and slippery, and the eel is deep-fried, so it absorbs the sauce really well. There’s also deep-fried pork rind for added texture. My chef’s 👨‍🍳 take: Fresh, savory, and oily! 🔸 Salted Egg Yolk Shredded Potatoes When it arrived, it didn’t look very appealing, but the taste was much better than expected. The salted egg yolk flavor is strong but not greasy, and the spiciness from the green peppers balances it out a bit. It’s great with rice! 🔸 Mint Fried Pork Ribs I used to love this, but this time the taste was a bit different. The ribs seemed a bit too marinated, so the mint flavor was relatively lighter. 🔸 Rose Tofu Pudding A little sweet treat after the meal! I always end my visit with this! 🔸 Packed Tofu / Skewered Meat I didn’t have these this time, but I used to order them every visit. 👌 Overall, it’s a very affordable place, perfect for those who want to try multiple dishes but are worried about not finishing. It’s my go-to spot for winter gatherings with friends! #NewYork #NYCEats #NYCFoodie #NYCDining #HiddenGemRestaurant #MustTryNYC #GatheringSpot #YunnanCuisine #NYCLife #NYCWeekend
