The Downtown Boathouse at Pier 26 Dates: Weekends and holidays from 5/18-10/14, 10:00am-4:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6/18-8/29, 5:30-7:00pm Specific open times can be found on the official website calendar💚 It’s free🆓 and no reservation is needed. After signing a waiver upon arrival, you can get a locker key. The boats are stable, but just in case, you can store items you don’t want to get wet in the lockers. (Recommend going in your swimsuit directly, no fear of getting wet)🌿 Put on a life jacket🦺, grab a paddle, and get in line. Staff will give a brief explanation of kayaking techniques, which are very easy to learn. You can freely kayak within the designated area for 20 minutes and see the buildings along the Hudson River and the tiny Statue of Liberty🗽.
