New York | Four Favorite Indian Restaurants(1)

I'm documenting a few mid - to - high - end Indian restaurants I've visited over the years. πŸƒπŸŒΈ Overall, they're all pretty good, and I'll list them in order of preference. I still want to try Adda and Masalawala & Sons from Unapologetic Foods when I have time. Feel free to recommend other Indian restaurants! Semma This is currently my favorite Indian restaurant in New York. I've been there three times since 2022. πŸƒπŸŒΈ The online ratings seem to be dropping, which I think might be due to the difficulty of making reservations and the fact that Semma's dishes are almost all very spicy. This might not suit everyone's taste. The classic Gunpower Dosa is a must - order. Among the vegetarian options, I used to love their cauliflower, but it seems to be off the menu now. Other dishes I always order are Oxtail and Lamb Biryani. Dhamaka πŸƒπŸŒΈ Inspired by my love for Semma, I tried Dhamaka from Unapologetic Foods in April. I had high expectations, and it exceeded them. The restaurant is spacious, and the portions are generous, making it more of an everyday dining option. I'd recommend going with at least four people!! Otherwise, just a couple of dishes might fill you up. πŸƒπŸŒΈ The most impressive part for me was the variety of sauces in the second section of the menu. We ordered three - spinach, eggplant, and a beef pepper fry - and they were all amazing with garlic naan. #NewYork πŸŒƒπŸŒŸ
