New York | Greek-Style Seafood Street Food 🌟
Similar to street food stalls in China, you grab your seafood with a bag and head to the cashier to weigh it. 🌟 The cashier will ask how you want each type of seafood cooked—usually a choice between bake, sautéed, pan-fried, or fried. Be prepared for the lobster; it takes a while to cook. 🦞 🌟You can choose sides like pasta, Greek stewed potatoes, salad, fries, or corn. The garlic bread is free and comes in unlimited portions. Today’s razor clams were indeed fresh. 🦶 The place is called Astoria Seafood. It’s just one subway stop away in LIC. I recommend going at noon for the freshest ingredients. In the evening, it gets crowded, and you might have to fight for a seat. 🌇 Astoria was once a hub for Greek immigrants last century, leaving behind many Greek restaurants. This century, many Latin Americans have moved in, so there are also plenty of Latin American eateries. 🌿 #NewYork #Seafood #StreetFood 🌟
