New York | Greenacre Park: A Hidden Urban Waterfall in the Midst of th
🌟New York, with its towering skyscrapers, excels at creating small, lively pleasures amidst concrete and steel, designed from the perspective of passersby, adding vitality and charm to the entire city. 🌟Greenacre Park in Midtown is just such a unique haven hidden in plain sight. The three-tiered waterfall cascading down a rugged stone wall, the towering honey locust trees providing shade, the retro yet modern brick pavilion, the lightweight tables and chairs that can be arranged at will, and the corner kiosk for refreshments are all prepared to offer an escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. 🌟Many office workers in the area bring their lunches to eat here, and quite a few tourists are drawn in by the sound of water. I visited during a scorching summer day, bought a Starbucks, sat down to listen to the sound of water, and enjoyed the cool and comfortable atmosphere. 🌟Greenacre Park is a private garden owned by the Greenacre Foundation, which opened to New York residents and visitors for free since its completion in 1971. It’s not far from MoMA, Grand Central Terminal, and the Roosevelt Island Tram, so you can drop by if you’re in the area for a visit. 📅 Summer hours: 8am-8pm ‼️ No pets allowed, tripods and commercial photography are prohibited, as well as smoking and alcohol. #NewYork #NewYorkLife #NewYorkDaily #NewYorkAttractions #MidtownNewYork #CaptureMyCity #CityMemories #Waterfall #NewYorkParks
