Dessert Platter 🍨 $27 Just as the title says, this dessert platter is a real steal! The thin, crispy layer on the sesame ice cream is so fragrant; and the matcha almond tofu is my absolute favorite! 🌟 Yuzu Pig's Trotter 🍖 $12 Stewed until it’s tender and full of flavor—highly recommended! 😋 🎢🍃 Oxtail Hot Pot 🍖 $35 To be honest, the oxtail is really fragrant but a bit chewy. The soup is delicious, though it might be a bit greasy, so it’s best to drink it while it’s hot. 🍲 Pig's Trotter Hot Pot 🍖 $35 This one really had me laughing in disbelief! When it was first served, they forgot to put the pig's trotters in. At first, I thought maybe I just missed them, so I called over the waiter and asked, “Are there pig's trotters in here?” The waiter, a really nice guy, confidently said, “Yes, there are! 🎢🍃 There should be two.” (The small portion is for two people.) But as he stirred the pot with a spoon, his expression grew more and more serious. LOL. After confirming they had forgotten to add them, he brought us a small bowl with just two trotters (the portion was really small). The broth is spicy and quite fragrant. I hope this place can offer an option to add extra trotters, like $5 per trotter or something, because it’s really not enough. Also, the dumplings in the soup were overcooked and mushy, and there were only two pieces of chicken thigh. The vegetables were delicious, but there were just way too many… 🍲 Average Cost per Person (including tip): $45 🎢🍃 Restaurant Name: Hakata Tonton Address: 35W 35th St, New York, NY 10001 #hakatatonton #NewYorkJapaneseFood 🍣🌟
