New York | Harbs' Grapefruit Mousse Cake ๐
Iโve always thought that grapefruit is such a lively fruit, the kind that adds a perfect touch to any dish, like the grapefruit pieces in mango sago pudding. ๐ Eating grapefruit on its own isnโt particularly filling, but when itโs turned into a jelly layer, it becomes incredibly delightful! ๐ ๐ฐ The sponge cake layer here is very thin, while the sweet and tangy mousse cream takes up most of the cake. When you cut into it, it makes a gentle, sandy soundโlike the texture of marshmallow. ๐ฌ I initially wanted to buy a chestnut cake, but since it was sold out, I decided to try this limited-edition grapefruit cake. The grapefruit is tangy, slightly bitter, and not cloying. ๐ The portion is surprisingly large and delightful! For someone whoโs tired of overly sweet cakes, this is a perfect change of pace.๐๐ป (Strawberry cakes are already $18 a slice, so this $13 cake is quite a steal!) ๐ Harbs #NYCEats #NYCFoodieFun ๐๐
