New York | Hidden Gem Dinner (1)🍽️
On a lazy Saturday, I was craving a cozy wine bar and decided to walk in to my favorite spot. First, I tried Claud, but it was fully booked. Then I went to Le French Diner, only to find that they were already on their third seating for the night! 😅 🏙️ Just when I was about to give up, I discovered that Wildair had last-minute reservations available. I quickly made my way there. Wildair is a sister restaurant to Bar Contra, and it was a lifesaver! 🌟 🎢 The decor is pretty simple, and the seating is a bit snug, but the food is amazing. Most of the dishes are straightforward but packed with flavor. 🌊 The richness of the dishes is perfect for a cold winter night, and they pair beautifully with wine. I was truly delighted by the aromas and flavors! 🍽️ 🍃Pithivier Mille-Feuille This isn’t a traditional puff pastry but rather a flaky outer layer with a soft, chewy interior. It’s filled with Comté cheese and ham, offering a rich, savory flavor. 🌸 The top is generously spread with yolk jam, and the addition of sesame seeds and scallions gives it a unique twist, almost like a savory scallion pancake! 🥧 🎢 #MyFoodDiary #NewYork 🌟
