New York | Hidden Gem Restaurant: HOUSE Brooklyn (2)๐
4 Appetizers - All were super delicious ๐, especially the Daikon slices with fish broth. The balance was unexpected and delightful! The Burrata with Strawberry was so refreshing ๐, and the White Asparagus was soft yet still had a nice crunch. Gotta say, the chef really knows how to work with vegetables! ๐ฅฆ โจ 3 Main Courses - Compared to the appetizers, the mains felt a bit less impressive. The fish and meat were pretty standard, but oh my goodness, the Foie Gras & Pickled Cucumber Rice ๐ was absolutely amazingโdefinitely the star of the night! ๐This kind of combo is so rare, and it was anything but greasy. The flavors were super rich. If I weren't so full, I would have gone for another bowl (there was extra in the pot)! ๐ 1 Dessert: Japanese Matcha Cheesecake + Ice Cream ๐ต. The cheesecake was very soft, but overall, it was just a nice, simple kind of delicious. โจ Even though the price has gone up a bit, at $180 per person, it's still totally worth it. The chef is heading back to Tokyo in July to check on the main restaurant, so the place won't be open then. If you can, definitely try to get a spot in August! ๐๏ธ ๐ #RecorderOfRomanticLife #NotebookInspiration ๐
