📍La Vara As the sister restaurant of my favorite Saint Julivert in 2024, La Vara is also a seafood-focused Spanish tapas restaurant that amazed me once again! 🌟 Top three dishes of the night: 🥘Rossejat - The signature dish here is truly divine! 🥹The Spanish seafood fideo at the bottom is toasted to a crispy perfection! The shrimp, lobster, clams, and squid are all incredibly fresh! Mixed with the rich black pearl aioli, the layers of seafood flavor just build and build, and I absolutely love it! 🤤I would come to La Vara ten thousand times just for this dish…… 🧀Croquettes - The staff highly recommended these, and they were spot on! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, each bite is bursting with creamy, cheesy goodness. Every mouthful is pure bliss! 😍 🐙Pulpo de Roca - The octopus, paired with citrus and olive oil, is tangy, refreshing, and has a delightful chewy texture! 🍋 I also really love the ambiance of this place～The flickering candlelight adds a romantic and ceremonial feel to the dining experience. 😌 #NewYorkCuisine #RomanticDining #AtmosphericRestaurant 🌅🌸
