New York | Indian Cuisine
Restaurant Exploration • Bungalow From the one-Michelin-star Semma to the fully booked Bungalow every night, Indian cuisine has gradually entered the public eye in recent years. 🌿🌟 Chef Vikas, who once founded the one-Michelin-star Junoon, is also a judge on the Master Chef documentary. Since Bungalow opened in March 2024, reservations have been snapped up almost every night, and it quickly gained Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition within just a few months.🍃 🍃The restaurant's atmosphere is nostalgic and retro, inspired by Indian country clubs. Looking around, over 80% of the guests are Indian, which shows how authentic the food is. The menu is diverse, and although it follows a fine dining route with smaller portions, the presentation is very delicate: YOGURT KABAB 🌿🌟 A must-order at every table, the fried yogurt has a crispy outer layer of fine noodles, paired with the crisp and slightly sweet purple cabbage, and the mildly spicy mango sauce contrasts beautifully with the sweetness of the yogurt. The texture layers are fantastic. #NewYork 🌇🌟
