New York | Italian Cuisine Recommended by Italians 🍽️⭐️
At first, I was hesitant because a quick search revealed mixed reviews about this place. But considering that locals from Italy recommended it, I decided to check it out with a uncertain heart! After dining, all I can say is, it was delicious! I’ll definitely be back for more. The dishes are reliably good if you stick to the signature items on the menu. The service was great, the place is cozy, and the heating was on point—nice and toasty! They have two other branches in Soho, but I’d recommend this uptown location because it seems to have more consistent positive reviews, plus the tiramisu is made fresh on the spot. Yum! ⭐️ Octopus Caprese with Burrata The octopus leg was perfectly seared, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, paired with the creamy burrata—delicious and highly recommended! (way better than leitao’s octopus leg in my opinion) ⭐️ Citrus Marinated Yellowtail The yellowtail with orange was a refreshing appetizer, scoring a solid passing grade for taste. ⭐️ Green Tagliatelle in Wild Boar Ragu with Black Truffle The rich wild boar ragu covered the al dente tagliatelle, topped with black truffle—so aromatic it was to die for. Truly deserving of the recommendation. ⭐️ Maccheroni with Eggplant The eggplant maccheroni was like a giant version of ‘搓鱼儿’, hilarious and also very tasty! ⭐️ Fried Ham Balls Croquetas A special of the day, it was decently good. (Side note: Amelie’s ham croquetas on their special menu are really delicious lately.) ⭐️ Tiramisu The dessert had to be the tiramisu. The fact that it’s made on the spot seemed to add an extra layer of flavor to this classic treat. Creamy but not at all cloying, it left me super satisfied! 💕 #ItalianCuisine #ItalianFoodInNewYork #ItalianRestaurantInNewYork #NYCRestaurantRecommendations #ManhattanFood #nycfood #nycfoodie #WhereToEatInNYCOnTheWeekend #NYCFoodExploration #NYCPiccolaCucina
