New York | La Dong(1)
New York's Michelin - recommended Vietnamese restaurant is actually run by Thai people. 🌺 La Dong on Manhattan is the new restaurant of the owners of Thai Villa and Paranakhon. It was included in the Michelin Guide as soon as it opened. Although it's fusion cuisine, it doesn't mean it's not authentic. 🌿 Even my Vietnamese friend said that the taste here is more like that of northern Vietnam, which is a bit different from the Vietnamese food I've had before. The environment inside the restaurant is quite nice. We went there on Sunday and it was pretty crowded, so it was a bit noisy to talk inside. It's not really suitable for a date. 🌇 Personally, I feel that their appetizers are generally not as good as the main courses. Some dishes have similar seasonings and many of them have a taste that leans more towards Thai cuisine. 🌺 Many of the dishes we ordered were sweet and spicy. 🌿Also, since we didn't order pho this time, I don't know if its broth would be different from traditional Vietnamese pho. There were a few dishes we didn't have the chance to order this time: #NewYork #NewYorkFood #NewYorkRestaurant
