Chinese Home-Style Cuisine Tavern 🍽️ Braised Beef Short Ribs in West Lake Vinegar? 🐟 There’s this trendy Chinese tavern called Lei that I’ve been to a few times. To be honest, it’s quite interesting and perfect for having a couple of drinks. They have a nice selection of wines too. But the food... well, I really didn’t like it and even found it a bit funny, haha. 🐟 The dishes are more like home-style Chinese cuisine, with simple ingredients and basic seasonings. 🍲 The most curious dish was the sweet and sour pork ribs, which were actually beef short ribs. The meat was very tender and succulent, stewed to perfection with the fat melting away so it wasn’t greasy at all. 🐟 But the sweet and sour sauce had a rather strong vinegar taste... and combined with the slightly slippery texture, it really reminded me of West Lake #MyFoodDiary #NewYork 🌃🌟
