📍 Marea 240 Central Park S, New York, NY 10019 This year, for my birthday, my friends took me to Marea, a classic New York Italian restaurant. Once a Michelin two-star establishment, it no longer holds a star, but the flavors and service are still top-notch. The focus here is on seafood and pasta. The ambiance is low-key and elegant, making it perfect for a date. For pre-meal bread, there were two options. I love the crispy Italian bread, so I tried both and spread them with the cheese from the appetizer. It was delicious! 🦞 Astice (Lobster) A must-order signature dish! The lobster meat is firm and succulent, paired with cherry tomatoes and burrata cheese. It’s incredibly flavorful! 🍝 Fusilli This is their classic red sauce pasta. The spiral pasta is al dente, and the dish is topped with a generous portion of octopus and marrow-based sauce. It’s super rich and aromatic—I loved it! 🦀 Casarecce Crab leg and sea urchin pasta, seasoned with basil and chili. The flavors are layered and complex!
