New York | Midtown Oasis Santi (1)šš
Santi is the new Italian restaurant in the Financial District by Michael White, the chef of Marea. It's located among fancy skyscrapers with a beautiful waterfall wall and courtyard outdoor seating. ššæ I ordered blindly and realized after that the dishes weren't the signatures often promoted on the official website and Instagram. But every dish was amazing! š„Ŗ The pre-meal bread came in three types, with the Focaccia in the middle being the softest. I've been loving soft-shell crab lately, and the Granchio here was fantastic. The puffy batter coating was perfect ā if not eaten immediately, it would become greasy. The aroma when it was first served was truly irresistible! š¦ The Polipo, or roasted octopus leg, was already very tender with little elasticity. It was all about the ultimate tenderness of the seafood meat, with the pine nuts and eggplant adding a rich, oily aroma. š The Pansotti, made with squid ink, was another high-protein dish I ordered by accident. The combination of the pasta skin and the cheese and seafood filling was incredibly fresh, delicious, and smooth. š„ #NewYorkEatingDrinkingFun #NewYorkFoodGuide šš·
