New York | Nishida Shop โ Tonkotsu Ramen and Memories ๐โจ
๐Five years ago, when I was still a tour guide, because of the constant travel and being away from home, the time spent with my family was extremely rare. One day in October, I managed to squeeze out a bit of time, and had the chance to dine with my parents, whom I hadnโt seen in months,at this small noodle shop called Nishida Shop. ๐ธ After a bowl of ramen, we said our hurried goodbyes, and I was back to the whirlwind of my busy life. ๐๏ธNow, life has changed, though not perfect, I have more time to be with my family. On this October day, on a whim, I wanted to revisit those touching memories,so I returned to the old place, hoping to savor the flavors of the past once again. ๐ข Tonkotsu Ramen: Still the taste I rememberโrich and perfectly seasoned. The extra-large, thick slices of chashu are incredibly generous by todayโs standards, tender and well-seasoned, with a nice aroma after being grilled. The thin noodles are pretty good (better than most chains, but not quite up to Ishidaโs level). Overall, considering the portion and quality, itโs quite remarkable. ๐ #NewYork ๐๐๐๐๐
