New York | Odo End-of-Spring Dessert Tasting 🍓
At the end of April, I found out that Odo had launched a dessert tasting event. After attending Yuu’s session last time and being blown away by the experience, I decided to give this one a try too. Upon being seated, five desserts were immediately placed in front of us. There was no explanation; we had to rely solely on our taste buds to guess the dessert chef’s creative ideas. Frasier🍓 French Strawberry Cake: As light as a cloud, the green layer had the rich flavors of pistachio and almond. The plant patterns imprinted with edible glitter were stunning, and each one was unique. Who knew that red and green could look so beautiful together! 🌺 Matcha Rolled Cake🎄 Christmas-themed Matcha and Pomelo Cake: The chiffon cake was airy and soft, with large air pockets. The tartness of the pomelo in the center contrasted beautifully with the slight bitterness of the matcha, making the whole cake extra special. 🍋 Canele 🍮 Hojicha Canelé: The crisp shell of the hojicha canelé had a hint of caramel aroma and was not overly sweet. The interior was moist enough, but I couldn’t quite taste the citrus flavor. 🍵 Chocolate 🍫 Long Bar of Milk Chocolate: Why wasn’t it dark chocolate? 😢 The bar had a passion fruit filling, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced right at the edge of being too rich. #NewYork 🌃🌟
