New York | Piano Bar β’ The Nines 9 πΉ
Lift the floor-length curtains at the entrance to reveal the hidden gem behind the door. Stepping inside feels like being transported to the lobby bar of Paris's HΓ΄tel Costes, with dim candlelight, red velvet, and classic French cuisine. However, The Nines in the East Village offers more spacious and comfortable seating. It's less intense than the French style, more like a traditional piano bar favored by the white elite. π There's no strict no-talking rule; in fact, it feels more like a gimmick. You can chat while someone plays the piano. πΆ My favorite cocktail is the Clover Club, which is well-made. The food consists of simple seafood dishes to accompany your drinks, but the prices are on the higher side. It's a pity that its reservation-only policy means it can't be a casual post-dinner spot for a quick drink. π₯€ π· The Nines π Resy (reservation only) π² Average spend $30+ π 9 Great Jones St, New York #NewYork#NYCLife#NYCFoodGuide π
