New York | Ramen Ishida | Delicious, But I Won’t Be Back 🍜

On a rainy day, I ventured downtown for a meal, which was quite an adventure! 🌧️ When I got to the restaurant, I was starving but was told I had to wait for half an hour. Feeling helpless, I decided to grab two pork buns first. 🥢 I ordered the New Tokyo Style Shōyu Ramen and the Spicy Mushroom Pork Ramen. The New Tokyo Style was amazing—super flavorful broth with a rich truffle aroma. 🍄 The Spicy Mushroom Pork, however, was just okay. It felt like a Japanese take on Chongqing noodles, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. 🍜 I also tried the Karaage, which was pretty good for traditional Karaage, but I still prefer the version at Raku. 🍗 ▪️ It’s Expensive! Not that I can’t afford it, but the value for money is really low. The portions are tiny—a bowl of ramen isn’t even enough for someone with a small appetite, yet it costs $20. The two tiny pork buns were $10! 🥪 #NewYork 🌃🌟
