New York Sichuan Chef’s New Place | Spicy Brain Flower is So Satisfying❗️ 🍃 Recently, a friend recommended a newly opened Sichuan restaurant to us. The reviews are mixed so far, but our Sichuan friends say it’s super authentic. Even my socially anxious southern friend says it’s worth crossing the chaotic Times Square to try. 😂 📍Sky Pavilion 🌊 The ambiance is pretty basic, but we found the food really satisfying! It seems like everything is stir-fried to order. The dishes don’t arrive super quickly, which makes us think they’re not using pre-made meals—there’s a nice wok hei (the breath of the wok)! For now, we only saw it on Panda Express for delivery, and there are even some discounts. 🥩Fragrant Beef with Instant Noodles A huge bowl! The beef is very tender. The combination with instant noodles at the bottom is a bit unusual, but it works. For northerners, the Sichuan peppercorn flavor is just right (southerners think it’s not spicy enough). 🎢 It tingles the lips without being so numbing that you can’t taste anything, like some super spicy dishes. The green chili peppers are super refreshing, and the pickled red chili peppers are also delicious. #NewYork 🌃
