New York | Snow Crab Hot Pot 🦀 Winter limited one crab eight ways!!
Who knew I could enjoy snow crab this way in NYC!! 🦀 An entire snow crab prepared 8 different ways—crabs legs, crab roe, every bite was pure joy! They even used the crab shell as a bowl for steamed egg—this crab was completely put to use, from head to toe. I’m obsessed 1️⃣ Snow Crab Salad – A Japanese-style salad topped with shredded crab meat, light and refreshing 🥗 2️⃣ Uni Vinegar Jelly – Snow crab + uni + caviar, mixed with vinegar jelly and mango—so delicious! 3️⃣ Raw Snow Crab Legs – First time trying raw crab, and it’s tender and creamy—so good! Would’ve been even better with freshly grated wasabi, though 👍 4️⃣ Snow Crab Tempura – The crab meat is super tender, and the batter is thin and non-greasy! 5️⃣ Crab Roe Steamed Egg – The crab roe flavor is so intense!! Stir it into the steamed egg, and it’s incredibly savory!! They used the crab shell as a bowl—zero waste, which is amazing! 🥚 6️⃣ Baked Crab Legs – So unique! The crab meat is coated in cheesy goodness—so tasty! 🧀 7️⃣ Snow Crab Hotpot – The broth is simmered with crab 🦀, so fresh it’s mind-blowing! Some of the crabs even had roe on them! If I didn’t need to save the broth for porridge, I would’ve drunk the whole pot dry! 8️⃣ Crab Broth Zosui – White rice simmered in the hotpot broth—warm and comforting $159 for two people, so around $80 per person! There aren’t many seats, so remember to make a reservation in advance. ⛳️ Hiyake Yakiniku BBQ 165 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211 #EatHotpotInWinter #NYCFoodGuide #NYC #SnowCrab #NYCJapaneseFood #NYCHotpot #NYCLife #NYCEats
