New York | Store Visit š
Revisiting La Cabra, New York's coffee scene is getting increasingly bland. On my nth visit to La Cabra, I remember how excited I was when it first opened. It felt like a breath of fresh air in New York's coffee scene, a place where you could truly enjoy a great cup. And their baking was even better than their coffee, which was a huge plus. š½ļø š Unfortunately, recent visits have been a bit disappointing. The charm is slowly fading. The milk-based coffees are becoming lighter, and the drip coffee isn't as rich and layered as it used to be. Compared to the specialty coffees I've had in London and Singapore recently, New York's coffee just feels...really rough and lacking in finesse. It's quite a letdown. āļø š¢ Even their baking isn't as amazing as it once was (maybe I'm just getting jaded). The once-excellent Canele... I can't believe how far it's fallen. š¢ šø Thankfully, the Bread and Butter is still delicious, a small comfort in this sea of mediocrity. š„Ŗ #StoreVisitPlan #NewYorkLife #NotebookInspiration šš
