New York | Sushi Mumi - How to Define "Comfortable Eating"?(1)
It's been a while since I last visited a place popular among the younger crowd. π Appetizers Sea Urchin Chawanmushi: The egg has a very delicate texture, and the sea urchin is fresh and sweet. Simple yet comforting. π Anglerfish Liver: The seasoning is on the sweeter side, and the slow-cooking technique is spot on, giving it a texture like soft tofu. The liver's rich, fatty aroma is just right. π Cutlassfish: The fish is very fresh, simply seasoned with salt. The juices are abundant, and the natural sweetness of the fish is very pronounced. Aromatic Box Crab: A crab shell filled with crab meat, and the red roe is very plump. The slightly sour Tosa vinegar jelly nicely enhances the sweetness of the crab meat. The satisfaction is indescribable. π Iwate Oysters with Hairy Crab Broth: A suggestion is needed - the consistency of the hairy crab broth is not well done, it's too thin. The fried oysters' crispy shells can't hold the sauce. The quality of the oysters is good, with a fresh and sweet taste, but the saltiness is a bit too heavy. #NewYork ππ
