New York | Taking My Kid to the Barbie Exhibition 🎀

I took my kid to Columbus Circle to see the pink and adorable Barbie exhibition ~ 💕 When I was around 10 years old, my biggest wish was to have a Barbie doll and buy her lots of beautiful clothes and shoes. When I heard that the Barbie exhibition was coming to New York, I just had to go and check it out, haha. Actually, I was the one mainly visiting the exhibition, and my kid was just accompanying me. During the whole visit, he was only interested in the steering wheel of the Barbie's pink car. He got into the car and just wouldn't get off. Fortunately, there weren't many people when we went.🤩 The Barbie Cultural Icon Exhibition is a special display to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Barbie brand. It showcases over 250 classic Barbie dolls. You can see how Barbie has influenced global culture and her contributions to promoting the diversity of female images. 🎈 At the exhibition, I saw all kinds of Barbie dolls, both the ones I knew and those I had never seen before. There was the classic blue leotard with colorful ankle socks that Barbie wore in Toy Story. And there were also many Barbies with different occupations and skin colors. It was a real feast for the eyes ~🥰 There are many well - designed photo - taking spots at the exhibition. The photos come out really well. Since it's not convenient to wear a dress when taking care of a kid, I specifically picked a pink sweatshirt. My husband said he found a new way to take good portrait photos. That is, the photographer stands a bit farther away and then zooms in to 2 times. I took a look and it really worked, haha. 🎨 Museum of Arts and Design in New York ⏰ Opening hours: Until March 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Closed on Mondays) 🎫 Ticket price: $20 for adults, free for children under 12 🆓 Free - ticket method: At the beginning of each month, make a reservation for the free admission tickets of the next month through Cultural Pass.
