New York | The Big Letdown: YOPPARAI 🌩️

I had heard nothing but praises about YOPPARAI—everyone seemed to love it, and there wasn’t a single bad review in sight. 🌿 So, with high expectations, I decided to give it a try. But when I went, it turned out to be a total disappointment (just my opinion, no arguing please). It was a meal I just couldn’t get behind. 😔 We ordered a variety of dishes, hoping to sample the best of what they had to offer. We started with chawanmushi (tea bowl steam), which is usually a delicate and flavorful dish, but this version was bland and uninspired. 🌿 Next was the chicken patties, which were dry and lacked any real seasoning. The sashimi was supposed to be fresh and melt-in-your-mouth, but it felt a bit off, like it had been sitting out for too long. The washu beef tataki was another miss; the meat was tough and the sauce didn’t add much flavor. Finally, the karaage fried chicken was the only dish that was even remotely edible. It was crispy and had a bit of flavor, but it couldn’t save the entire meal. 🌿 Two of us spent around $120 and still left hungry. It was a real letdown, especially considering the hype. I guess sometimes the reviews don’t tell the whole story. Maybe it’s just not my kind of food, but I won’t be rushing back to give it another try. 🌿Definitely not coming back. See you later! 👋 #NewYork #NYCExperience #RestaurantReview 🌟🌟
