New York | The Charm of KJUN, a New Orleans x Korean Fusion Restaurant

🌸KJUN is a play on the word “Cajun,” so the cuisine is a delightful fusion of Korean flavors with a Southern twist. Located on the eastern side of Koreatown, the restaurant is quite small, with seating for only about ten people. This intimate setting gives it a cozy, home-style feel. 🏡 The chef is super enthusiastic. We opted for the two-person set, which included one appetizer, two mains, two sides, and a dessert. The appetizer, Marinated Egg, was surprisingly delicious and quite a treat. 🥚 🌟 For the mains, we chose Gamba Shrimp and Kimchi Fried Rice. The shrimp came with a buttery toast that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The shrimp itself was great, though the accompanying sauce was a bit greasy. 🍤 The Kimchi Fried Rice was unexpectedly amazing. It’s a simple dish, but the combination of kimchi, chicken, and sausage made it incredibly satisfying—enough to finish two bowls! 🍔 🌟For sides, we had Tomato Kimchi and Potato Salad. Both were refreshing and quite tasty, perfect for cutting through the richness of the mains. 🥒 Overall, the dining experience was great. The service was incredibly fast, making it a pleasant and efficient meal. It’s definitely a place I’d consider revisiting if I’m in the area. 🌟 📍 154 E 39th St, New York, NY 10016 #EveryMomentWorthRecording #RecorderOfRomanticLife 🌸
