π 2nd Floor | Asian Art Exhibition Area πΏ I took a quick tour and still think the ones back home are more impressive, haha. π¨ 2nd Floor | European Classic Masterpieces Area πΌοΈ ποΈ Vermeer's "The Milkmaid" | A masterpiece of the master of light and shadow, the painting is incredibly soft, and you can truly feel the sunlight streaming in through the window. π π» Van Gogh's "Wheatfield with Cypresses" and "Irises" | Up close, Van Gogh's brushstrokes are so powerful; you can feel the emotional fluctuations within him. βοΈ "The Death of Socrates" | The painting is full of tension, and standing in front of it feels like you're witnessing history with your own eyes. πΏ 2nd Floor | 19th-20th Century Sculptures & Modern Art π π Monet's "Water Lilies" | The layers of overlapping colors make you feel as if you're on the lake surface, and as you look, your heart calms down. π #NewYork πππ
