New York | Yakitori Totto

Wanted to try yakitori and visited this place, but seriously, it was a huge disappointment! 🌆 💔 By the end of the meal, I didn’t even feel like taking photos. It was just that bad. Seriously, it was outrageous. The pork belly and ribs were so tough that I couldn’t even chew them properly. I had to spit them out after struggling for a while. 😫 The chicken meatballs were no good either. They were bland, and all I could taste was the fishiness and the strong flavor of cooking wine. We ordered so many dishes, but the only ones that were somewhat decent were the seafood skewers on the cover and the chicken gizzards. 💔 It really broke my heart to waste an entire dinner on something so expensive and so unpalatable.😭 And yet, this place is always packed, with people even waiting for tables! I’m so confused as to how it can be so popular in such a competitive city like New York. 😳 Is there something wrong with my taste buds? I really need some answers from others. #NewYork 😕
